Jayashree Ramanathan

Jayashree Ramanathan hails from a distinguished lineage of accomplished artists. An accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and highly regarded nattuvangam artiste, she began her formative training under Smt. Sudharani Raghupathy and completed her arangetram under her guidance.

She went on to deepen her artistry under the celebrated gurus, the Dhananjayans, with whom she travelled extensively and accompanied numerous performances across the world. This rich and immersive experience shaped her into a musician and dance professional of rare depth, precision, and sensitivity.

Jayashree currently serves as a senior faculty member at Bharathanjali, founded by Smt. Anitha Guha. Widely regarded as one of the most sought-after nattuvanars today, she has had the privilege of accompanying several leading artistes on stage. Her command over the art, extensive performance experience, and refined aesthetic have earned her immense respect as a versatile and distinguished presence in the field of Bharatanatyam.
